Rifle 1 Mechanics and Marksmanship

This course is designed for shooters with some experience and new shooters. In our experience, most shooters with some experience were taught by a friend or family member without a developed course. Unfortunately, that type of training creates holes in their training. We have found it most practical to have everyone start training with us with our level 1 courses. This creates the fundamentals to build on throughout your training journey. However, if you have attended previous training courses with a reputable company i.e.( Carry Trainer, Field Craft Survival, Tactical Cowboy, etc.) Your welcome to purchase a course that fits into your skillset. Please send an email to travis@unitedsurvivalstore.com with receipts and/ or certificates for your previous courses.

Think of the news over the past many years. Remember all the people who have been killed or injured just going about their daily lives. How many of those people could have survived if they were carrying a firearm and had the training on how to use it? Our Rifle Mechanics And Marksmanship course is the begining of your journey to rifle proficiency and readiness. The course begins with a comprehensive safety briefing detailing all class, range, and firearms safety rules. Our goal is for every student to leave the course feeling confident in their new skills and know exactly how their rifle works, how to manipulate and grip the rifle, how to present the rifle to the threat, proper stance, proper loading and unloading techniques, align sight(s) on target, shoot with accuracy, and identify and clear malfunctions. Our course sizes are intentionally kept small in order to maintain our training standards and to ensure each student gets one-on-one instruction. The end of the course is wrapped up with shooting a steel target at distance as well as an intro for Rifle 2 Mechanics and Movement. Students will use every skill learned during the course to accurately engage the steel target. After your purchase you will be emailed the course details. This will include the address for the range, date and time and other important info. We will also send you some videos to prepare you for the course. It is imperative that you read the email and follow the instructions or you may not be allowed to participate if the rules are not followed.

This course is designed for rifles with optics.

We recommend zeroing your optic before the class. If you have questions about this shoot us an email and we'll help you out with it.

We recommend you bring two rifles in case one breaks down on you. Alternatively bring some spare parts. Not everyone will be able to do this but we recommend it if you can.

Electronic Hearing protection. Electronic hearing protection allows the user to hear normally while load noises are automatically muffled. We recommend Howard Leight, Razor, Pro Ears. Please consider that rifle cartridges are louder than pistol cartridges. Depending on the Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) on your headphones, you man need to use ear plugs and electronic hearing protection. We have found Pro Ears has better NRR ratings than others.

Eye Protection. Something rated ANSI Z87+ high impact.
